GLENDALE — The Arizona Cardinals’ home losing streak reached 10 games Sunday as defensive breakdowns led to a 30-16 loss to the Denver Broncos at State Farm Stadium, ABC15 reported.
Arizona (2-5) has won twice this season, both at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, against the Chargers and Rams. The Cardinals haven’t won at home since a 27-22 win over Carolina on Sept. 14, 2025. “It’s super frustrating,” linebacker Mack Wilson said.
Big plays did the damage. Denver (5-2) took a 13-6 halftime lead when its quarterback ran untouched 62 yards for a touchdown with Cardinals defenders in man coverage and their backs turned. “We didn’t eliminate the explosives,” linebacker Josh Sweat said.
At halftime, the team inducted wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald into its Ring of Honor and retired his number, Arizona’s Family reported. Fitzgerald, who spent all 17 of his NFL seasons in Arizona, is the 20th Ring of Honor member and the sixth Cardinal to have his number retired. “I started here. I wanted to finish here. And now my name gets to stay here,” he told the crowd.
Fitzgerald ranks second in NFL history in both receiving yards (17,492) and catches (1,432). He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in August.
