PHOENIX — The Phoenix Suns return from a four-day break Friday night against the Denver Nuggets, with center Oso Ighodaro questionable after missing two games with an oblique strain, Arizona Sports reported.
Tipoff at Mortgage Matchup Center is set for 7 p.m. Phoenix time.
Ighodaro grabbed at his right side near the end of the first half of the season opener and left for the locker room shortly before halftime. He was listed as doubtful for the two games he went on to miss.
Mark Williams (shoulder) and Drew Timme (two-way) are out for Phoenix. Second-year center Khaman Maluach has started all three games, averaging 23.3 minutes, while two-way center Duop Reath is averaging 6.3 minutes.
For Denver, former Suns wing Cameron Johnson is questionable with an ankle injury he suffered in the Nuggets’ opener, when he scored five points in 11 minutes before leaving. Rookie Alpha Diallo (personal) is also questionable, while Julian Strawther (knee) and Spencer Jones (hamstring) are out.
The Suns (1-2) last played Monday in a 125-114 loss to Oklahoma City, while the Nuggets beat the New Orleans Pelicans on Wednesday.
The game comes a day after a report of locker room frustration in Phoenix over the team’s lack of a true point guard.
