President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance announced a $25 million program Oct. 20 to encourage the public to report suspected fraud in the federal government, The Associated Press reported.
Trump said anyone whose tip leads to a conviction or a significant federal enforcement action will be eligible for a 1% commission on the amount of fraud the tip helps uncover.
Trump created an anti-fraud task force earlier this year and put Vance in charge of it.
