SpaceX reported net income of $4.4 billion, or 35 cents per share, for the three months through September, more than double what Wall Street expected, The Associated Press reported Oct. 20.
Revenue rose 161%, driven by its satellite communications business and by leasing computing power to other companies. The stock rose in after-hours trading.
Elon Musk said that on next month’s Starship launch, SpaceX will try to catch both the booster and the ship with mechanical arms when they return.
