British police have rearrested two men suspected of assisting Iran’s intelligence service in a suspected plot at a U.S.-run air base in western England, The Associated Press reported Oct. 20.
Counter Terrorism Policing said the men, a 24-year-old British national and a 25-year-old dual U.K.-Iranian national, were arrested under the National Security Act. They had initially been arrested and released on bail pending further investigation.
Police are investigating a suspected plot on Sept. 27 against the base, which has been used in this year’s war with Iran. Neither man has been convicted of any crime.
