A semitrailer hauling cattle plunged off a highway overpass in downtown Kansas City, Missouri, shortly before 3 a.m. Oct. 18, killing dozens of animals and sending survivors roaming city streets, The Associated Press reported.
Authorities said up to half of the 120 to 130 cattle on board were killed. The roundup of surviving animals continued into the early afternoon, and some roads were closed.
The truck driver and the driver of a vehicle the truck landed on suffered minor injuries and were treated at hospitals.
