FLAGSTAFF — Weekend storms turned to snow in Arizona’s high country, where Arizona Snowbowl picked up 3 inches on Saturday, according to KTAR News.
That was the first snow since Oct. 25, when 6 inches fell, bringing the season total to roughly 13 inches, KTAR News reported.
At Grand Canyon National Park, power to the South Rim went out during Sunday’s storms and was restored after several hours, according to the National Park Service, Arizona’s Family reported. The cause was unclear.
Park officials asked visitors to delay travel to the area, use caution and monitor weather alerts.
Several highways in northern Arizona remain closed due to flooding, so travelers heading north should check az511.gov before leaving.
