MESA — A 33-year-old man died after being shot in what Mesa police believe may have been a road-rage confrontation near Alma School Road and the U.S. 60 on Wednesday afternoon, KTAR News reported.
Officers responded to several calls about a shooting shortly before 2 p.m. They found the vehicles still stopped on Alma School Road and spoke with everyone involved.
The man who was shot was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Police have not released his name or said whether anyone will face charges. The others involved stayed at the scene and are cooperating, police said.
Alma School Road was closed for a time during the investigation but has since reopened.
