GLENDALE — Taiwan-based Gudeng Precision Industrial Co. has opened its first U.S. manufacturing plant in Glendale, KTAR News reported in partnership with the Phoenix Business Journal.
The 12,000-square-foot facility at 5260 W. Phelps Road in the 51 Bells Business Park represents an investment of more than $5 million and will make components for the semiconductor and aerospace industries.
The first phase includes aircraft CNC machining and precision inspection and is expected to create 30 jobs. The company plans to add equipment and tie into Arizona’s aerospace and chip supply chains later.
CEO Bill Chiu said the company chose Arizona for its aerospace and semiconductor ecosystems and skilled workforce.
