FLAGSTAFF — Search crews are looking for a man who fell into fast-moving floodwaters in Flagstaff on Sunday evening, according to FOX 10 Phoenix and ABC15.
The man went into the water around 6 p.m. Sunday as storms sent water rushing through the area, the reports said.
Flagstaff officials have been searching for him since. His name has not been released.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Flagstaff Police Department at 928-774-1414 or Silent Witness at 928-774-6111.
The search comes during a weekend of dangerous flooding across northern Arizona, with evacuations in Sedona, Camp Verde and Cottonwood and several state highways closed.
Officials say even shallow moving water can knock a person off their feet, and they urged residents to stay away from washes, creeks and drainage channels until the water goes down.
