PHOENIX — Cardinals edge rusher Josh Sweat is drawing trade interest, and the Dallas Cowboys are a team to watch, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Sunday, according to Arizona Sports.
Sweat’s name has been in trade rumors for months as the veteran reportedly wants a new contract. The 29-year-old is signed through 2028, with a potential out after this season.
He set a career high with 12 sacks last season but entered Sunday with two sacks and four quarterback hits through seven games.
Sweat played against Dallas often during his years with the Philadelphia Eagles from 2018 to 2024, and he had two sacks against the Cowboys last season.
National outlets have also put safety Budda Baker and quarterback Jacoby Brissett on lists of possible trade candidates, Arizona Sports reported.
The Cardinals beat Dallas 33-30 in overtime Sunday to improve to 3-5 ahead of the trade deadline.
