BUCKEYE — A Buckeye man was arrested Thursday, accused of arranging for a stranger to break into his home and sexually assault his fiancée, police said.

Zarian Dyer, 23, was taken into custody at his workplace near Roosevelt Street and Verrado Way on Thursday, Oct. 29, according to KTAR News and FOX 10 Phoenix. He faces charges including conspiracy, kidnapping, attempted sexual assault, sexual abuse and aggravated assault.

Police said the attack happened around 6 p.m. Oct. 16 at a home near Southern Avenue and Miller Road. A man forced his way inside and attacked the woman before leaving, according to investigators.

Adrian Ayala, 20, of Goodyear, was arrested the next day in connection with the break-in. Investigators later linked the attack to Dyer, police said.

Buckeye police spokesperson Carissa Planalp told reporters detectives believe the attack was planned in advance. Police have not released a motive.

An attorney for Ayala has said his client believed he had been invited to take part in a roleplay scenario, according to FOX 10 Phoenix. Neither man has been convicted, and both are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact the Buckeye Police Department.
