PHOENIX — Former President Barack Obama endorsed Gov. Katie Hobbs’ reelection bid Tuesday, three weeks before Election Day, KTAR News reported.
“Katie Hobbs is the best choice to keep Arizona moving forward. So, join me in supporting Katie for governor,” Obama said in a video released by the Hobbs campaign. He also backed her in 2022.
Obama pointed to her work with the Republican-led Legislature, saying she has “passed bipartisan tax cuts every single year she’s been in office.” Hobbs said she was “deeply honored” by the endorsement.
Hobbs faces Republican U.S. Rep. Andy Biggs, who is endorsed by President Donald Trump, on Nov. 3.
