LOS ANGELES — Eric Bauza, the Emmy-winning voice actor who brought Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck to a new generation, died Sunday, his manager said. He was 46, CBS News reported.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner listed the cause as hypertensive cardiovascular disease. “His sudden passing is a shock to all of us,” manager Judy Coppage said, calling it “a profound loss for his family, the animation industry and his fans.”

The Canadian-born actor had more than 400 credits. Along with Bugs and Daffy, he voiced Porky Pig, Marvin the Martian, Elmer Fudd, Foghorn Leghorn, Tweety and other “Looney Tunes” characters, including in the most recent “Space Jam” film. His work also included “Avatar: The Last Airbender,” “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” and “Teen Titans Go!”

Bauza won Children’s and Family Emmy Awards in 2022, 2023 and 2025. He often credited Mel Blanc, the original voice of the characters, as “the blueprint.”
