TEMPE — Vandals broke windows and spray-painted graffiti at the Tempe office of Fisher Industries, a federal contractor building border wall in Arizona, police said, KTAR News reported.
Officers responded Thursday to the office at 1302 W. Drivers Way after a report of criminal damage. Police said several people arrived earlier that morning intending to damage the building. No arrests have been announced.
Tempe police said they will report the incident to the Arizona Counter Terrorism Information Center as part of the active investigation.
North Dakota-based Fisher Sand & Gravel is one of the government’s biggest border wall builders and is the contractor at Lochiel, where protesters have occupied trees to stop construction. In December, CBP awarded Fisher a nearly $1.5 billion contract for about 19 miles of double wall in southern Arizona.
