PHOENIX — The Women’s Final Four could be coming back to the Valley.

The NCAA named Phoenix one of seven finalist cities to host the women’s tournament’s championship weekend between 2032 and 2036, Arizona Sports reported.

The other women’s finalists are Detroit, Indianapolis, Las Vegas, Minneapolis, New Orleans and San Antonio. The men’s finalists are Denver, Houston, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Las Vegas, Nashville and New Orleans; Phoenix is not on that list.

Phoenix hosted the Women’s Final Four for the first time in 2026, when UCLA won its first women’s national title by routing South Carolina 79-51. The championship game drew more than 9.9 million viewers, the third-most for a women’s title game on ESPN networks, and the weekend drew 360,823 fans to games and events, also third-most all-time.

The city hosted the men’s Final Four in 2017 and 2024.

The next men’s Final Four will be at Ford Field in Detroit, and the next women’s Final Four will be at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio.
