Minshew rallies Cardinals to stunning 33-30 overtime win at Dallas

AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas

ARLINGTON, Texas — Gardner Minshew II came off the bench and led the Arizona Cardinals to a wild 33-30 overtime win over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, according to Arizona Sports and ABC15.

Minshew replaced starter Jacoby Brissett and went 17 of 23 for 188 yards and three touchdown passes, the reports said.

Two plays into his outing, Tyler Allgeier broke a 63-yard touchdown run. Allgeier, the last healthy running back after injuries to Bam Knight and Jeremiyah Love, finished with 147 rushing yards and 191 yards from scrimmage.

Minshew also found Allgeier for a 5-yard touchdown pass and hit tight end Trey McBride for a 14-yard score.

With six seconds left in regulation, Minshew connected with Michael Wilson on a 13-yard touchdown to tie the game, but kicker Chad Ryland missed the extra point.

Both teams came up empty on their first overtime possessions before Arizona set up Ryland for redemption. He drilled a 42-yard field goal to win it.

The victory improved the Cardinals to 3-5 and gave them five straight wins over Dallas, the outlets reported.
