INGLEWOOD, Calif. — Jay-Z will headline the next Super Bowl halftime show on Feb. 14 at SoFi Stadium, the NFL, Apple Music and Roc Nation announced Monday night, CBS News reported.
The announcement came with a video of the rapper seated in the stadium surrounded by goats and the line “GOAT’s out of the bag.” He wrapped up his “Jay-Z 30” concert run at the same venue over the weekend, after shows at Yankee Stadium and in London.
His company, Roc Nation, has advised the NFL on its entertainment and helped produce the halftime show since 2019. At the time, Jay-Z said he had told Commissioner Roger Goodell that if the partnership was about him performing, the conversation was over.
Born Shawn Carter, he has won 25 Grammys and earned 89 nominations, second only to his wife, Beyoncé. He follows Bad Bunny, who headlined last February’s game.
