PHOENIX — A new midtown Phoenix restaurant is betting that barbecue and seafood belong on the same plate, KTAR News and the Phoenix Business Journal reported.
Chef Chris Collins, founder of Common Ground Culinary, opened Cowboy Seafood to the public Friday at 3112 N. Central Ave. in the Park Central mixed-use center.
“When you walk in, the building, the decor, the art, the light fixtures, the wood, the subway tile, the smell – it is Cowboy Seafood,” Collins said.
The restaurant was designed by Jennifer Reynolds and Ideation Design Group. Collins called it his most ambitious restaurant yet and the first he has built from the ground up.
His other concepts include Collins Small Batch Kitchen, Grassroots Kitchen & Tap, the Macintosh and the Neighborly.
