GLENDALE — The Arizona Cardinals lost their fourth straight game Sunday, falling 45-21 to the Detroit Lions, Arizona Sports reported.
The Cardinals (1-4) forced three straight three-and-outs to open the game, holding Detroit to minus-9 yards. The Lions (3-2) then scored touchdowns on six of their next seven possessions and added a field goal on the other.
Arizona has allowed at least 31 points in all four losses, and Sunday’s total was its worst of the season.
Tight end Trey McBride added more highlight catches, and Teagan Quitoriano caught two touchdown passes.
The loss came on the same day the team finalized a trade sending wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. to Houston. Harrison was inactive.
Arizona Sports hosts questioned the offense five weeks into Mike LaFleur’s tenure as head coach, pointing to a stalled running game and offensive line struggles.
