WASHINGTON — Calley Means, a senior adviser to Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and a leading voice of the Make America Healthy Again movement, resigned Thursday, the Associated Press reported.
In a statement, Means said he leaves “with tremendous respect” for President Donald Trump and Kennedy but gave no reason for his departure. “This movement is in the first inning and just getting started,” he said.
Means joined the administration early in Trump’s second term as a White House adviser and used his role at HHS to criticize federal health agencies and government scientists.
His exit comes as some MAHA leaders have voiced frustration with what they see as slow progress on issues such as food policy and regulation of the weed killer glyphosate. The resignation lands less than two weeks before the midterm elections.
