DETROIT — Global girl group KATSEYE postponed its Tuesday night concert at Detroit’s Little Caesars Arena because member Megan was sick, with fans already in their seats, Billboard reported.
“Unfortunately, Megan is unwell and unable to perform tonight, and we want to make sure she has time she needs to rest and recover,” the group said in a message posted on its Instagram Stories hours before showtime.
“We know so many of you have travelled, made plans and been looking forward to tonight,” the post said. “We are incredibly disappointed that we won’t get to see you, and we’re truly sorry for the inconvenience.”
According to Billboard’s sources, the group held a VIP soundcheck without Megan, who was reportedly resting for the show. Doors had opened and fans were seated when a postponement message appeared on the big screens about 40 minutes before the scheduled start.
The venue said a new date will be announced and that Tuesday’s tickets will be honored. “We sincerely apologize for the disappointment and inconvenience, especially to those who traveled to be with us tonight,” the arena said.
The group’s WILDWORLD TOUR has sold out runs across Europe, the United Kingdom and North America. If Megan Skiendiel recovers quickly, KATSEYE’s next stop is Chicago’s United Center on Thursday, Nov. 5, Billboard reported.
The North American leg ends Nov. 28 in Mexico City. After a two-month break, the group heads to Asia, Australia and New Zealand starting Jan. 27, 2027, in Yokohama, Japan. The tour supports the album “WILD,” which hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in August.
