PHOENIX — A sports-focused neighborhood tavern from the group behind Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers is headed to north Phoenix, KTAR News reported.
Square One Concepts said The Original Tavern will open at the High Street at City North shopping district, near Deer Valley Road and 56th Street, in 2027.
The project will span more than 8,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space, with a scratch kitchen, happy hour, a golf simulator, multiple TVs and an LED video wall, according to a press release.
It takes inspiration from sister concept The Original Arcadia Tavern, which recently replaced Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers in Phoenix’s Arcadia area. Square One also runs Bourbon & Bones and Wasted Grain.
“Whether you’re joining us for a great meal with family, meeting friends for happy hour inside or on our spacious patio or coming in to watch the big game on our huge LED wall, The Original Tavern offers the quality, energetic atmosphere you want from a neighborhood gathering place — without the pretense,” CEO and founder S. Barrett Rinzler said.
