Amazon said Tuesday it will hire more than 300,000 workers across the U.S. for the holiday season, its first increase in holiday hiring in three years, according to Reuters as cited by FOX 10.
The openings include seasonal, part-time and full-time jobs in Amazon’s operations network and will be posted weekly through December. Seasonal workers will earn an average of $20 an hour, and full-time operations jobs start at a minimum of $20. Average pay across the operations workforce is nearly $24 an hour.
The company is also expanding health benefits. Beginning Jan. 1, 2027, seasonal employees who work at least 30 hours a week will qualify for coverage on their first day, with plans starting at $5 a week and $5 copays. Seasonal workers hired before then who meet the requirements will get access when the benefit begins.
