Tucson – The parents of an 8 year old boy who died at a Tucson hospital in 2022 were indicted this week on suspicion of child abuse and murder charges AUTHORITIES say.
They have been indicted on charges for first degree murder and four counts of felony child abuse.
The Pima sheriff’s department reported that deputies noted ‘ suspicious circumstances ‘ surrounding the death of the child when they responded to a local hospital on August 12,2022.
The detective determined that blunt force trauma to the child’s head and upper body were the cause of death.
The parents of the child are 32-year old Joshua Butcher and 29-year-old Mercedes Caho.
