Mesa Az- James Zoccoli, a 16-year-old boy who had been reported missing earlier this month in Mesa, has sadly passed away. On June 1, he left his residence on foot, prompting Mesa police to issue a bulletin seeking assistance in locating him.
On June 8, a young man was discovered unconscious at a Phoenix residence and rushed to the hospital. A nurse recognized him from Zoccoli’s missing person bulletin and promptly contacted the police.
The patient was positively identified as James Zoccoli, but unfortunately, he did not regain consciousness and succumbed to his injuries on June 9. The Maricopa County Medical Examiner’s Office is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.
