Tragic Death of Off-Duty NYPD Officer Juliana Torsiello in Orange County

Monsey,New York-  An NYPD Off Duty Officer was killed in Orange County.

 According to (WAbc) State Police say Juliana Torsiello ,25, lost control of her car Friday evening  on County Road 51 in Campbell Hall.

Police Officer Juliana Torsiello, a two-year veteran, was driving her 2008 BMW 328i east on County Road 51 between Blough Lane and Ridge Road in Orange County around 6 p.m. when she “failed to negotiate a right hand curve on a descending road,” a New York State Police trooper said.

Torsiello, aged 25, tragically suffered blunt force trauma to the head. Her body has been respectfully transported to the Orange County Medical Examiner’s Office.

In the wake of this heartbreaking incident, investigators are carefully examining the officer’s speed as a potential contributing factor to the crash, as shared by the trooper. Additionally, the trooper emphasized the importance of an autopsy to determine whether alcohol was present in the officer’s bloodstream.

Torsiello was on the force for three years and worked in west harlem.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
