Tempe Police Arrest Three in Connection with Deadly Thanksgiving Day Shooting

TEMPE, AZ – Three men have been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting on Thanksgiving night that left one man dead and a woman in critical condition. The incident occurred on Thursday, November 28, 2024, at an apartment complex located at 987 W. Washington St.

At approximately 8:30 p.m., Tempe Police responded to multiple 9-1-1 calls reporting gunfire at the location. Upon arrival, officers discovered 24-year-old Anthony Carlos deceased at the scene and a woman suffering from serious injuries. The woman, whose identity has not been released, was rushed to the hospital, where she remains in critical but stable condition.

Police say the shooting was not connected to domestic violence, but those involved in the incident were familiar with one another. Investigators have uncovered that nearly 30 shell casings were found at the scene, suggesting the violence was severe. Over the course of the investigation, detectives have interviewed more than 30 individuals.

The breakthrough came on Sunday, December 1, when Tempe Police arrested three men: Miguel Rosas GalvanDennis Manuel Guillen, and Oscar Manuel Guillen. The trio is facing serious charges, including ConspiracyFirst Degree Murder, and Aggravated Assault.

The investigation remains ongoing as authorities continue to search for additional suspects. Police have not yet revealed a motive for the shooting but emphasized that all parties involved had prior knowledge of each other.

As the case progresses, Tempe Police are asking anyone with further information to come forward to assist in the investigation.
