Tempe Police Arrest Suspect in Series of Attacks on DNC Office

TEMPE, ARIZ. – Authorities have arrested 60-year-old Jeffrey Michael Kelly in connection with three shooting incidents targeting the Democratic National Committee (DNC) office in Tempe, which began in September. Kelly faces multiple charges, including two counts of unlawful discharge (class 6 felony), two counts of shooting at a non-residential structure (class 3 felony), and three counts related to the Terrorism Act (class 2 felony). He is also charged with three counts of criminal damage (class 1 misdemeanor).

In a disturbing twist, Kelly is also linked to a separate incident in Ahwatukee, where he allegedly hung suspicious bags containing white powder from political signs, lined with razor blades. This has raised significant concern among local authorities regarding the safety of political expression in the area.

Details regarding Kelly’s motivations and the nature of the attacks are still under investigation. Tempe Police will provide further information during a press conference scheduled for tomorrow.

“We are committed to ensuring the safety of our community and will continue to investigate these incidents thoroughly,” a police spokesperson stated.

No additional information is available at this time, but updates are expected following the press conference.
