Reba McEntire Set To Host The 60th Academy of Country Music Award 2025 In Texas

The Academy of Country Music (ACM), Dick Clark Productions, and Prime Video announced on July 16, 2024, that the 60th Academy of Country Music Awards, the longest-running country music awards program, will take place on Thursday, May 8, 2025, from Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas. Frisco has been the host city of the ACM Awards for three years running.

Academy of Country Music CEO Damon Whiteside expressed his excitement about “celebrating and honoring the legacy of the ACM Awards throughout the year around the 60th anniversary show returning to Amazon Prime Video next May.”

“Our historic 50th anniversary performance in 2015 made our Texas debut, and we’re excited to come back to commemorate yet another significant milestone in ACM history. We look forward to seeing our industry, artists, and fans celebrate in Frisco, Texas next May for an unforgettable week!”

The 60th Academy of Country Music Awards will be hosted by 16-time ACM Award winner Reba McEntire. This will be her second consecutive year on the ACM stage (Dolly Parton and Garth Brooks having previously hosted the show in 2023) and her 18th time hosting the kudocast overall—more than any other artist in Academy of Country Music history.

She was just getting ready to make a comeback to the primetime comedy scene as the lead of the NBC comedy series “Happy’s Place,” which is scheduled to premiere in October when she received an invitation from the ACM Awards.

“After her magnificent comeback this year for the 59th ceremony, there is undoubtedly no one else better suited to helm this milestone show,” said ACM CEO, Damon Whiteside. “Reba McEntire has hosted more ACM Awards ceremonies than any other artist in history.”

Reba McEntire stated, “I’m excited to be returning to host the 60th ACM Awards on Prime Video. I’m excited to see everyone back in Texas; it’s going to be an incredible show that you shouldn’t miss!”

In the following months, more information will be verified regarding nominees, performances, ticket sales information, ACM Awards week events, and award submissions and voting schedule.

A few months ago, at the 59th ACM Awards in Frisco, the stars shone brilliantly. Chris Stapleton won “Male Artist of the Year,” while Lainey Wilson won both “Entertainer of the Year” and “Female Artist of the Year.” Luke Combs received “Single of the Year” for his rendition of “Fast Car,” while Stapleton was awarded “Album of the Year” for “Higher.” Wilson, Stapleton, Cody Johnson, Jelly Roll, Miranda Lambert, Parker McCollum, and more artists performed. At the occasion, rapper Post Malone debuted in country music as well.
