Phoenix, AZ – Authorities are searching for the driver responsible for a fatal hit-and-run collision that left one man dead and several others injured on Thursday evening. Detectives with the Phoenix Police Department are actively investigating the incident, which involved five vehicles.
The crash occurred around 5:23 PM on September 26, 2024. When patrol officers arrived at the scene, they found a male passenger with life-threatening injuries. Despite being transported to a nearby hospital, he was pronounced dead by medical staff.
Phoenix Fire personnel treated four additional victims at the scene, including two juveniles and two adults, all of whom were taken to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators believe one of the vehicles involved in the crash fled the scene before officers arrived. Police are now asking for the public’s help in identifying the hit-and-run driver. Silent Witness is offering a $2,000 reward for information leading to an arrest, with anonymous tips being accepted through their hotline at 480-WITNESS (948-6377) or 480-TESTIGO (837-8446) for Spanish speakers.
