Phoenix Police Identify Victim in Fatal Motorcycle Crash

Update- August 3, 2024 – Phoenix Police Vehicular Crimes detectives have identified the individual who lost his life in a tragic motorcycle collision that occurred early yesterday morning.

On August 2, 2024, at approximately 4:30 a.m., officers were dispatched to a single-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle at 9400 N Cave Creek Rd. Upon arrival, they discovered an adult male with severe injuries. The victim, 24-year-old Nathan Castro, was quickly transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

According to preliminary findings, Castro was traveling northbound on North Cave Creek Road at a high speed when he lost control of the motorcycle. The bike veered off the road, heading east, and struck several parked cars.

The investigation into the collision is ongoing, and further details will be released as they become available.
