Officials Are Still Searching For The Arizona Teenager, Jarrett Brooks That Went Missing A Year Ago 

On July 4, 2023, at about 6:30 a.m., Brooks, who is currently 17 years old, walked out of his Joseph City, Arizona, house following what appeared to be a fight with his family. Soon later, his mother Laura Brooks reported him missing to the local police department. Following the story, there has been a lot of activity on social media, including cries from Brooks’ parents, Brian and Laura. This has helped bring attention to the missing young person, but as of right now, no significant information about his location has been found.

Brooks could go to Winslow or locations in Texas including San Antonio, Austin, Temple, or Stamford, according to the missing poster from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. He has not been found despite sightings being reported in Winslow and at a nearby ranch. He was last seen in Ball cap, blue jeans, cowboy boots, and a black shirt with the words “America” on it. He weighed 140 pounds and was 6 feet tall. He is blonde with brown eyes. 

In an attempt to locate digital evidence that would aid the inquiry, warrants were issued in Joseph City and Phoenix in January 2024 with an emphasis on computer forensics evidence and cyber communications; nevertheless, no arrests were made.

On the 4th of July 2024, the Navajo County Sheriff’s Office commemorated the day the 16-year-old Jarrett Brooks went missing. 

“Numerous tips and reports on Jarrett have been sent to our detectives during the last 366 days. No concrete progress has been made in figuring out what happened to Jarrett despite officials following up on each of these leads and tips,” they stated in a social media statement on Thursday.

According to representatives of the Navajo County Sheriff’s Office, “Jarrett is a son, brother, grandson, nephew, and friend.” “He is missed by family, friends, and his community.”

The sheriff’s office says it is collaborating with the Brooks family and reminds the public that the investigation is still continuing.
