Jihadist Ideology Fascinated Suspect: NYPD’s Seizure of Weapons Cache

A Queens man heavily armed with a fascination for jihadist ideology, and apprehended by vigilant NYPD officers on Wednesday, displayed an unusual demeanor as he was escorted out of a precinct in handcuffs on Thursday.

Judd Sanson, aged 29, couldn’t suppress a smile when bombarded with questions by reporters while being led out of the 110th Precinct in Corona. His grin widened notably when asked about the origin of his weaponry, jestingly inquiring if he procured them from Amazon.

Sanson is scheduled for arraignment on charges related to the possession of weapons and ammunition in Queens Criminal Court later in the day, following his arrest in the early hours of the morning.

According to police reports, Sanson was suspected to have been residing in his black Ford Explorer, which drew the attention of law enforcement due to obscured license plates. Subsequently, a significant cache of weapons was discovered.

Among the items found in Sanson’s possession were a loaded 9mm gun, nine fully loaded magazines, an NYPD vest, handcuffs, two axes, a stun gun, multiple knives, a weighted whip, a Guy Fawkes “V for Vendetta” mask, an orange MTA vest, and an expandable baton with disturbing messages etched onto it, as confirmed by NYPD Chief Jeffrey Maddrey on Wednesday.
