In an all-genre poll, fans choose Pluma’s “Éxodo” as their favorite new song this week.

The latest music poll, which includes musicians from a variety of genres, has Peso Pluma’s Éxodo at the top this week. Listeners chose the Mexican celebrities who were ready for the release of their new CD as their favorite new song release of the previous week in a poll that was published on Billboard on Friday, June 21.

On June 20, 2024, Peso Pluma’s fourth studio album, Éxodo, was made available through Double P Records, his own record company. Éxodo is a double album that has 24 tracks in total. Eight tracks from the trap, Latin trap, reggae, and electronic dance music genres are found on its second disc, while sixteen tracks from the regional Mexican and corridos tumbados genres are found on its first disk.

Among many others, Cardi B (“Put Em in the Fridge”), Quavo (“Pa No Pensar”), Rich the Kid (“Gimme a Second”), Ariana Grande, which includes Brandy and Monica (“The Boy Is Mine”), Gracie Abrams (The Secret of Us), ans Coldplay (“feels like i’m falling in love”), made cameo appearances on the star-studded challenge. With 17% of the vote for Post Malone and Blake Shelton’s “Pour Me a Drink,” Peso’s two-disc set garnered nearly 52% of the vote in the survey. The party tune is the most recent release off Malone’s upcoming F-1 Trillion country album.

Peso Pluma, who was named Billboard’s 2023 Rookie of the Year, shot to prominence in 2015 when he quickly rose to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart with over 20 songs. The 2023 album made its debut and reached its greatest position for a Mexican music album on the list, peaking at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart. The record won the Grammy earlier this year for best música mexicana album (containing tejano).

Peso’s 24-track Éxodo, which features two discs—one including his signature corridos and the other filled with catchy and hip-hop songs—showcases the versatility of the Mexican celebrity. The hitmaker will soon be dropping in Miami, Dallas, Nashville, and Atlanta while on his Éxodo Tour.
