Fire Displaces Residents at Glendale Apartment Complex

Glendale, Arizona — On Sunday morning, a fire broke out at the Hidden Village Apartments near 59th and Olive avenues, leaving more than a dozen people displaced. The incident occurred around 10 a.m., prompting a swift response from Glendale firefighters.

Rapid Spread and Damage

The fire originated on the first floor of the apartment complex and quickly spread to the second floor. Firefighters faced extreme heat as they battled the flames, which eventually reached the attic space. Despite the challenging conditions, crews managed to gain control of the situation.

Two units sustained heavy damage, while others were affected by water damage. In total, six units were impacted by the fast-moving fire. Fortunately, no injuries were reported among residents or firefighters.

Assistance for Displaced Residents

Nine adults and seven children are currently displaced. The Red Cross is providing support to help them find temporary shelter during this difficult time. Meanwhile, investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.

The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of fire safety and preparedness. Residents are urged to have working smoke detectors, an evacuation plan, and knowledge of emergency exits in their buildings.
