Father Sentenced to Over 31 Years for Ordering Son to Kill Rapper PnB Rock

A man accused of orchestrating the murder of rapper PnB Rock was sentenced to more than 31 years to life in prison on Monday. Freddie Lee Trone was convicted last month for his role in the death of the artist, whose real name was Rakim Hasheem Allen.

In September 2022, Trone’s 17-year-old son was charged with robbing and fatally shooting PnB Rock at a Roscoe’s Chicken & Waffles restaurant in South Los Angeles. Prosecutors argued that the teenager acted on his father’s orders and was deemed unfit to stand trial.

Additionally, Tremont Jones, another defendant in the case, received a 12-year sentence on multiple robbery charges.

The incident occurred while PnB Rock was dining with his girlfriend, who had shared their location on Instagram prior to the attack. LAPD Capt. Kelly Muniz described the scene, stating, “The victim, along with a female witness, were approached by at least one suspect, who brandished a firearm and demanded property from the victim. The suspect then shot the victim multiple times before fleeing the scene in a getaway car.”

PnB Rock was transported to a hospital but succumbed to his injuries shortly after.

This is a developing story. This article will continue to be updated as more information becomes available.
