Phoenix, AZ — On June 9, 2024, Phoenix Police detectives responded to a shooting incident in central Phoenix that resulted in the death of a man and the arrest of another individual. The incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. at a residence near 12th Street and Garfield Street.
When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered an adult male, identified as 37-year-old Tracy Walker, suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Walker was promptly transported to a nearby hospital, where he was tragically pronounced deceased.
During their initial investigation, officers detained another adult male, 24-year-old Calyveion Hendrix, who was allegedly responsible for the shooting. Hendrix was interviewed by detectives and reportedly admitted to his involvement. He has since been booked into jail on murder charges.
