The Parisian fashion brand Coperni, well-known for spraying a dress onto a model at its Spring Summer 2023 show at Paris Fashion Week utilizing Fabrican’s sprayable, liquid fiber, is about to make headlines once more with its venue selection.
According to WWD, cofounders Sébastien Meyer and Arnaud Vaillant have scheduled to hold the forthcoming S/S 25 ready-to-wear fashion show for October 1 at Disneyland Paris, a location where dreams and fantasies are given center stage.
According to Vogue, Vaillant stated, “The Disney team had approached us to work on a different project. During our discussion in our Parisian office, Sébastien mentioned, ‘Guys, we should have a show at the park’ and they thought it was a good idea. Of course, it took more than simply pointing a magic wand in all directions and saying “bibbidi-bobbidi-boo” to accomplish this. As you may expect, there are a lot of approvals. After speaking with several members of each of their teams, they eventually said yes.”
“It will be an experience of a lifetime.” It’s their first time doing it, so this is a big risk for them,” Vaillant remarked of the event, which is the first time Disneyland Paris has held a presentation during Paris Fashion Week.
It’s a dream come true,” Vaillant said. “We are from the south of France, and when you are young, the first thing you do when you go to Paris is not see the Eiffel Tower, but rather Disneyland.”
“This is going to be such a lovely occasion. Vaillant said, “You know Disney touches everyone.” “It will be difficult, but the effort will be worthwhile.”
Fashion spectacles and avant-garde presentations are the specialty of the creative team of Sébastien Meyer and Arnaud Vaillant. They put on a distinctive “drive-in” show back in 2020, at the height of COVID-19 limitations. Models offered a unique solution within the constraints of the epidemic by strolling between rows of parked automobiles where visitors sat securely apart. Their works have always pushed the envelope. Imagination will be stimulated by the contrast between Disneyland’s whimsical charm and Coperni’s avant-garde creations.
While details of the show are being kept under wraps, the duo plan to include the French duo’s bevy of cool It girls and boy fans, along with Mickey, Minnie, and the rest of the gang to the guest list and to host a cocktail at the royalty-themed Disneyland Hotel, which reopened in January after a two-year renovation. “The backstage area will be at Cinderella’s Inn — it’s so funny,” Vaillant said.
The after party will be held at Discoveryland, home of the Space Mountain ride.
Even though the specifics of the show are still unknown, the two intend to host a cocktail party at the Disneyland Hotel which just reopened in January following a two-year renovation. It’s hilarious, Vaillant added, “the backstage area will be at Cinderella’s Inn.”
They also plan on inviting Mickey, Minnie, and the rest of the gang, as well as the French duo’s entourage of stylish It girls and boys.
Discoveryland, the location of the Space Mountain attraction, will host the after-party.
