Although Bayern’s agreement to sign Olise may appear sudden, it is part of a pattern. After all, Bayern signed Stuttgart defender Hiroki Ito earlier this month, marking the second consecutive season in which the team has maneuvered surreptitiously in the transfer market.
The 22-year-old Olise is eager to advance in his career, and although Palace is reluctant to lose him, they did allow Chelsea, Bayern, and Newcastle United to talk with him last week.v
After following Olise for months, Manchester United was expected to enter the race. However, they have instead decided to focus on strengthening other areas of the team, moving center-backs Jarrad Branthwaite and Leny Yoro to Everton and Lille, respectively, and forward Joshua Zirkzee, a striker for Bologna. Due to United’s choice to prioritize certain agreements, other clubs now have an opportunity to take advantage.
The player was given a competitive salary contract by Chelsea, but he was keen to join Bayern. It is presently anticipated that he would sign a deal with Vincent Kompany that will last until 2029.
According to Transfermarkt, Olise has a current market value of €55 million ($58 million) but Bayern Munich will pay €60m (£50.7m) including add-ons to bring Michael Olise to the Allianz Arena, as reported by Sky News.
Olise, who joined Palace in 2021, had a mostly injury-plagued season last year despite scoring 10 goals and dishing up six assists in 19 outings. It wasn’t expected for his current contract with the Premier League team to end until 2027.
Transfermarkt estimates that Michael Olise is now worth €55 million ($58 million), but Bayern Munich will spend €60 million (£50.7 million) plus add-ons to get him to the Allianz Arena, according to a report from Sky News.
Bayern will need to clear some space on the roster in addition to spending some money on transfers in order for the Olise deal to succeed. Right-wingers Leroy Sané and Serge Gnabry are now part of Bayern’s team.
Olise looks a lot like Sané when you look at his profile. However, Olise is eight years younger than Gnabry and Sané, who are both 28 years old. Moreover, Gnabry and Sané have also experienced injury. Olise is pricey, but it will probably also result in a lower annual wage than either of the German national team players.

Gnabry is one of the players that can be transferred away right now. As Forbes noted, there have also been rumors that Kingsley Coman, a winger, is available at the appropriate price.
It’s possible th at Gnabry and Coman are not the only guys leaving. Fresh signee Under Thomas Tuchel, Bryan Zaragoza has periods of difficulty, and the Spaniard may be leaving on loan. Next up is Thomas Müller, who is about to embark on what is probably his final season. Next year, the storied Bayern star is probably only going to have a part-time position.
Olise, who is quick and full of trickery, may be a great Sané substitute and provide Bayern with more attacking depth—something the team lacked during the previous campaign. Considering everything, it’s too soon to judge but, Olise might just be the perfect addition Bayern needs, even if it is expensive.
