Adele Plans To Take A Break From Music After  Las Vegas Residency

Following her series of forthcoming gigs, Adele has declared she will take a “big break” from music.

The 36-year-old singer of “Set Fire to the Rain,” who has been performing weekends in Las Vegas for the previous two years, will start a 10-date run of concerts in Munich, Germany, in August. After her two-year Las Vegas residency concludes, Adele says she will take a “big break” from the music business to relax and work on other artistic endeavors.

“At this moment, my tank is rather empty. The 16-time Grammy winner declared, “I have no plans for new music at all,” in an interview with German television ZDF. “I want a big break after all this and I think I want to do other creative things just for a little while.”

“I don’t even sing at home, you know. How peculiar is that?,” She went on.

Adele’s career has achieved significant milestones with each of her releases. Her debut album, “19,” which was published in 2008, earned her the Grammy for Best New Artist. After three years, she released “21,” which went on to become the best-selling album globally in 2011 and 2012 and, in her native Britain, the fourth best-selling album ever. At the Grammys, it took home the Album of the Year trophy, which she shared with “25” and “30.” Adele was the first solo performer to get the award three times in history. Twenty-five of Adele’s songs have reached the Billboard Hot 100 list, including five No. 1 hits: “Easy On Me” (10 weeks), “Hello” (10 weeks), “Rolling In The Deep” (7 weeks), “Someone Like You” (5 weeks), and “Set Fire To The Rain” (2 weeks). Adele has received sixteen Grammy awards in total.

Although Adele’s series of sold-out performances at Caesar’s Palace, which can accommodate 4,000 people, has been successful, she acknowledged that it has also had a negative impact on her health.

She described the events as “really an emotional exchange, even though it’s a very manageable size of crowd.”

A pause in the artist’s output is not unheard of, as seen by the six years that passed between the publication of “25” and “30.” But what Adele will choose to do next is still unclear.Adele has previously declared her desire to work in television or behind the scenes on other people’s projects, referring to music as a “hobby” that she “fell into.” She has stated that her “dream job” would be to read screenplays or scripts and then forward them to producers or studios.

Adele has expressed her desire to learn English and relive her college experience. “I really want to get a degree in English literature,” she declared. I believe that if I hadn’t succeeded in singing, I would have been a teacher. I believe I would teach English literature.” It’s no wonder that she enjoys reading self-help literature. She previously stated: “If my voice ain’t top-notch that’s alright, but my soul is top-notch, I’ll tell you that – that’s what I try to say to my therapist.”
