PHOENIX — When hail and fierce wind hit the Valley last week, employees at a Phoenix PNC Bank branch pulled a street vendor and his cart inside to safety, FOX 10 Phoenix reported.
Video recorded inside the bank shows workers helping Hilario Cruz Cruz roll his customized cart through the door. The clip has topped 1 million views on TikTok.
“With one hand, I held the door against the strong wind blowing it, and with my other hand I pulled the cart inside,” Cruz Cruz told FOX 10 through a translator.
A week later, Cruz Cruz was back selling elotes and fresh fruit along Peoria Avenue just off Interstate 17. He travels about 20 miles along his route and prepares his products by hand, starting early each morning.
He credits his longtime customers with keeping his business going, FOX 10 reported.
