GILBERT — Roka Akor, the upscale Japanese restaurant that has been a Scottsdale staple for nearly two decades, is bringing its robata grill to the East Valley, ABC15 reported.
The restaurant has signed a lease at Northside at SanTan Village, the retail and dining part of Okland Capital and San Tan Development Group’s Northside mixed-use development in Gilbert.
The Gilbert location will be about 4,336 square feet with a 1,000-square-foot patio, according to ABC15.
Roka Akor’s original Arizona restaurant sits near Indian Bend and Scottsdale roads. Its menu is built around a Japanese robata grill and a sushi program.
An opening date was not announced.
