AVONDALE — Tyler Reddick won the NASCAR Cup Series Freeway Insurance 500 at Phoenix Raceway on Oct. 18, using a late two-tire pit stop to grab the lead for a restart, NASCAR reported.
Reddick, driving the No. 45 Toyota for 23XI Racing, held off Ryan Blaney by 0.801 seconds at the finish of the 312-lap race. Chase Elliott finished third.
The race was part of NASCAR’s Chase playoff stretch and capped the fall race weekend at the Avondale track, which ran Oct. 16-18.
