We believe the reason is because of his relationship with superstars and as we mentioned in our previous article about Frank vogel’s firing,  we touched on player-coach relationships. Frank didn’t have a relationship with the Phoenix Suns superstar Kevin Durant. We can conclude that the Suns were looking for what they believe they will have with Mike because he coached and won a championship with Gainis.

 Mike Budenholzer’s Coaching Style  is known for his emphasis on ball movement, spacing, and a strong defensive scheme. His teams often feature a fluid offense that leverages the three-point shot and player movement to create open looks.
