Ariana Grande Teams Up With Headcount To Give Fans A Chance To ‘Wicked’ Premiere

Ariana Grande is urging her followers to cast ballots, offering a once-in-a-lifetime chance in the process.

In an effort to boost voter registration among young people, Ariana Grande, the star of “We Can’t Be Friends,” partnered with HeadCount, a prestigious nonpartisan nonprofit that works to register young voters through its Good to Vote initiative, to launch an exclusive fan sweepstakes, according to Billboard.

Along with a complete glam experience with Grande’s r.e.m. beauty products, the two lucky fans will be flown to the U.S. premiere of “Wicked,” the big-screen rendition of the popular Broadway musical starring Grande and Cynthia Erivo, which is scheduled to open in cinemas on November 22.

In an Instagram story post on Friday, the singer revealed the competition and invited her followers to verify their registration status to see whether they are ‘good to vote’ and win the special gift.

“Young voters have the power to determine the election of 2024.” The CEO of HeadCount, Lucille Wenegieme, said in a news release, “We’re excited to be working with Ariana Grande once more to help get as many young people registered – giving them the tools they need to make their voices heard at the polls this November.

Grande has partnered with HeadCount before to promote voting among her followers. During her nationwide tour in 2019, she collaborated with the group and managed to register over 30,000 fans to vote via on-site booths.

Leveraging celebrity voices is an excellent strategy to increase civic involvement, according to recent Harvard University research that cites HeadCount. According to the study, celebrity endorsements increase the number of people registering to vote and signing up to be poll workers. In 2020, 78% of the youth voters who had registered online through HeadCount actually cast ballots in person.
