The Scene
At approximately 2:00 a.m., officers received a call reporting a shooting at an apartment complex located at 11025 South 51st Street. Upon arrival, they discovered two adult male victims near the apartment swimming pool area, both suffering from gunshot wounds. Emergency medical services rushed the victims to the hospital for treatment.
The Victims
Tragically, 19-year-old Kashmit Vaughn did not survive his injuries and passed away at the hospital. The second victim, whose identity remains undisclosed, was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and subsequently released.
