Maricopa County Attorney Rachel Mitchell recently announced the indictment of Brian Alexander Torres-Perez (DOB: 11/2001) on three counts of Manslaughter, a Class Two Felony in Phoenix, AZ.

The tragic incident occurred on December 16, 2022, when Torres-Perez was involved in a collision while making a left-hand turn at Elliot Road and Cole Drive in Gilbert. The crash resulted in the deaths of 20-year-old Cooper Lamb, the son of Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb, along with his fiancée and their 11-month-old daughter.

The infant tragically passed away at the scene, while Cooper Lamb and his fiancée succumbed to their injuries at the hospital.

County Attorney Rachel Mitchell emphasized the gravity of the situation, stating, “This defendant’s reckless disregard for life resulted in the loss of an entire family.”

Following a comprehensive review of the evidence, the time has come for Torres-Perez to face accountability for his actions.

A grand jury warrant has been issued for Torres-Perez’s arrest, and he is currently held in custody by the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office on a $150,000 cash bond. The legal process will determine the consequences for this tragic loss of life.
