Subway Stabbing at Jackson Avenue Station: Victim Seeks Assistance, Suspect at Large

Authorities are currently investigating a stabbing incident that occurred on a subway train in the Bronx.

The incident took place after 3 PM at the Jackson Avenue subway station in Melrose.

A 41-year-old man was riding the southbound No. 2 train when he became involved in a verbal dispute with another male passenger. 

According to the victim, the suspect instructed him to move out of the way, leading to a heated argument.

 During the altercation, the victim sustained multiple stab wounds to his right arm.

The victim disembarked at the Jackson Avenue station and sought assistance from an MTA worker in the booth. Emergency services transported him to NYC Health + Lincoln Hospital, where he is in stable condition.

Police report that the suspect continued riding the southbound train, and as of now, no arrests have been made. The investigation remains ongoing.
