IRANIAN PRESIDENT AND PRIME MINISTER DIE IN HELICOPTER CRASH

A senior Iranian official, speaking anonymously due to the sensitivity of the situation, informed Reuters that President Raisi, the foreign minister, and all other passengers aboard the helicopter perished in the crash. The Crash as explained above happened as the helicopter was crossing a Mountain Terrain In Heavy Fog.

The remains of the helicopter that crashed on Sunday, transporting Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian, were discovered early Monday following an overnight search amidst blizzard conditions.

Raisi, at 63 years old and having recently assumed the presidency, was later confirmed to have passed away. Vice President Mohsen Mansouri conveyed the somber news through a statement on social media, a moment that was also solemnly acknowledged on state television.
